Great Beginnings Preschool

Great Beginnings is Trinity's preschool. We seek to provide Charlottesville-area children with developmentally appropriate personal, social, and academic skills in an atmosphere of love and nurture, all to the glory of God.

Our school operates as a co-op. Each class has a teacher with a parent serving as the helper. (Note: Background checks will be required for parent volunteers. GBP will cover the cost of one background check per family.) Parents are scheduled 10 times per year for the Pre-K and Pre-S classes. As an alternative, we offer a paid helper for parents who do not want to or cannot help in the classroom. The cost for a paid helper is $35 per scheduled time.

Pre-K Class
This class meets Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 9am–12pm. This 4-year-old class is for children who will turn 4 by September 30 of the beginning school year. The director may also consider developmental readiness. The ratio in the class is 1 adult to 6 children. Tuition for this class is $2,070.00 per year and may be paid over 9 months, 12 months, by semester, or by the year. The parent helper requirement is 10 times per year.

Pre-S Class
This class meets Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 9am–12pm. This 3-year-old class is for children who will turn 3 by September 30 of the beginning school year. The director may also consider developmental readiness. The ratio in the class is 1 adult to 5 children. Tuition for this class is $2,070.00 per year and may be paid over 9 months, 12 months, by semester, or by the year. The parent helper requirement is 10 times per year.

Lunch Bunch
Lunch Bunch is offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12–1. Each child must provide his/her own lunch and drink. The cost is $8 per child, per day.

Supplies
A short supply list is issued to parents at the beginning of the year. These are items used on a regular basis in the classroom. We also have a $45 activity fee that will contribute to ongoing baking projects throughout the year, photo processing costs, etc.

Registration
Registration forms (see below) are processed immediately, with currently or previously enrolled families prioritized. Additional enrollment is filled based on the order in which forms and fees are received. Once each class is enrolled to capacity, a waitlist will be maintained, based on the date registration forms and fees are received.

Non-refundable registration fees help offset costs incurred while preparing for the school year and are due with the registration form to secure a child's spot. Registration forms received without a fee will not be processed. Registration fee is $45 a child.
